They started in devastating fashion, hammering Bochum 7-0 at home with Kane bagging a hat-trick in a ruthless display. They were then involved in a six goal thriller away at Leipzig, twice surrendering the lead but showcasing their resilience by claiming a point.
Normal service quickly resumed with a comfortable 3-0 home win over Freiburg thanks to goals from Coman, Sané and Coman again. Bayern continued to terrorize opponents in a 1-3 away win at Mainz, with Kane and Coman on target before Goretzka sealed the points.
