A Glimpse of ODI World Cup 2023 Semifinals
Coming to the IND vs AUS ODI World Cup 2023 Final, team India looks formidable after defeating New Zealand in the semifinal 1. Riding on the back of Virat Kohli’s 50th ODI ton, the second successive ton by Shreyas Iyer India managed to post a massive 357 runs total on board. Later, Kiwis tried to dominate in the second innings but Shami displayed his prowess & rattled Kiwi’s batting order by scalping seven wickets. India took revenge for their 2019 semifinal defeat from New Zealand by defeating them in the semifinals by 70 runs.
Later the second semifinal between Australia & South Africa was also no less than a thriller. Initially, Australia dominated the Proteas by outclassing their innings for a meager 210 runs total. Except Miller (101 off 116 balls) none of their batters could step up & deliver on an occasion where their services were of utmost importance. However, the Proteas bounced back in the second innings & tried their best to defend their total by displaying a lethal bowling show. Gerald Coetzee (2 for 47) & Shamsi (2 for 42) starred with the ball by scalping two wickets each. Coetzee tried his best to defend the total & fought till the last over, however, the total was too low to defend with Australia chasing the target easily within 48 overs.
India will now take on Australia in the final clash of the ODI World Cup 2023 at the Narendra Modi Stadium on 19th November.
