Does Daniel regret his decision of leaving WWE?

Recently, Daniel appeared on Gorilla Position and during the interview he was asked several questions about his WWE and AEW runs. When asked if he had any regrets about leaving WWE to join AEW, Bryan replied, “Oh no, not at all. Obviously, things have changed for the better there, you know, substantially.”
Daniel said that he had a lot of fun doing what he was doing. He prefers the wrestling-centric style over the drama-centric style in AEW. He likes the idea that there is an alternative. He further clarified that he didn’t leave WWE because he didn’t like the company, as many other wrestlers who joined AEW did. Bryan still has a good relationship with WWE and still has friends there. The only reason he left was he wanted to make his professional wrestling business better and found AEW as the best option.
Bryan about connection with CM Punk
CM Punk was another former WWE Champion who signed AEW in 2021 along with Daniel Bryan. However, the Second City Saint’s relationship with the company ended on a bitter note as Punk was fired after a backstage fight with Jack Perry. Bryan was asked if he is still in touch with CM Punk after his firing from AEW. While answering the question, Daniel stated that he hasn’t spoken to him since the decision was made as part of the disciplinary committee and he was advised that it’s better not to contact Punk because legal matters were involved.
