UFC 306 is going to be quite exciting, as the promotion has produced an event for the first time in the Las Vegas Sphere. The event will be headlined with a UFC bantamweight championship match between Sean O’Malley and Merab Dvalishvili. The other highlight matchups include the UFC Women’s Flyweight Championship match between Alex Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko.
UFC 306 will take place on September 14, 2024, in Nevada, Las Vegas, at the Sphere in Paradise. Recently, Bantamweight challenger Merab Dvalishvili posted a video on social media after a sparring session, showing how he got a cut above his eye during training.
White expressed his anger at Dvalishvili
UFC President Dana White was disappointed with Merab for revealing his injury on social media ahead of his match against Sean O’Malley. Speaking at Dana White’s Contender Series 68 post-fight news conference, Dana said, “The whole world knows about Merab’s cut, he posted it. Our guys are so dumb. It’s next-level unbelievable. All the stuff I talk about boxing, what I will give boxing, is when something happens in a camp. Let me tell you what, it doesn’t leak. Our guys can’t f***ing wait to throw it up on social media.”
White further stated, “It is just a small cut and no big deal, but obviously, it needed to be posted. Why the f*** would you want him to know that? It is next-level stupid. Some of these guys are so stupid, it’s mind boggling. Unbelievable.”
The Machine has already resumed training again
Seeing all the buzz online, the Georgian fighter went live on Instagram and showed that he is already back to training. “The Machine” even said that the sparring session was his third day of the session. This indicates that injuries and cuts are not going to stop him from facing Suga at UFC 306.
