It is not surprising that Cristiano Ronaldo, a world-renowned football player, is preparing to leave his home in the wealthy English town of Alderley Edge, which is only 15 miles from his former playing field at Old Trafford. The Juventus player Mr Ronaldo placed an ad for the five-bedroom, three-story brick mansion on Monday for £3.25 million (US$4.1 million), according to listing data. The Portuguese footballer will lose £600,000 if the house sells for the asking price. Mr Ronaldo, 33, spent £3.895 million for the house over ten years ago, according to a title record submitted to the Land Registry in 2007. The sparse furnishings that are still in the home are nearly all made of black, including a luxurious charcoal-grey couch, black cowhide rugs, and sheer black drapes.

The home’s other traditional characteristics include big windows, light stone-tile floors, and hardwood. Images of the home, which is listed with nearby real estate firm Benson Bunch, show a number of opulent amenities, including a pool, a roomy kitchen with white and black lacquer (the colours of Juventus’s squad), a steam room, a movie theatre, and a gym. When contacted for comment, the brokerage did not respond.
There are three bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms in total. Including a sizable master suite with two adjacent bathrooms and a walk-in closet. The football player from Portugal twice promoted his former residence in England. According to a previous ad for the residence, the property first went on the market in 2013 for £3.75 million.
