England’s prolific all-rounder Moeen Ali makes a cut into the list of cricketers who came out of retirement to play for their country & make them proud. In the era of COVID-19 back in 2019, Moeen Ali decided to call time on his Test Career in order to concentrate more on white-ball cricket. It was the time Moeen Ali was one of the integral players of England’s Test squad & no one expected this decision from him. But two years, after the revamp of England’s Test team under McCullum & Stokes regime, Moeen Ali made a U-turn from his retirement decision & returned in test format. He went on to play the Ashes 2023 & delivered with both bat & ball. The injury to Leach provided Moeen an opportunity to play in Ashes 2023 & he proved his prowess by returning with figures of 3-73 in the third Test & helping England level the series by 2-2. However, in a recent interview with the media Moeen Ali cleared that he is done playing Test cricket & Ashes 2023 was his last match in Test format.
