Indian cricketer Virat Kohli frequently praises his actor-wife Anushka Sharma. He has repeatedly credited Anushka with helping him grow into a better person. In a new interview, the cricketer said he was “forced” to broaden his “horizons of thinking” after meeting Anushka. The cricketer also stated that seeing Anushka become a mother taught him about women’s strength.
While speaking with Wrogn, Kohli revealed that Anushka has “taught” him to “hold his own” when no one is willing to believe in him or listen to what he has to say. He went on to say, “She (Anushka) always told me if you know you are standing by the truth then you don’t have to worry about anything because the path will carve itself out and things will always be clean and separated.” Kohli also believes Anushka’s calm demeanour stems from her upbringing.

Kohli also revealed that he and his wife are working hard to become ‘better’ every day, saying, “We met as two individuals and we have organically come to a position where we are growing as people, the personalities and identities are quickly subsiding.” It’s a blessing that we are constantly striving to improve.”
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli married in December 2017 after being in a long-term relationship. After meeting the Pari actor, the cricketer was ‘forced’ to broaden his “horizon of thinking” because he realized that life does not happen in a linear fashion. He realized his partner had “her own standing.” As a result, he will have to accept it as well. “When they have a standing of their own, you have to accept it and process it into your system, which is something we didn’t grow up with,” Kohli said.
Kohli and Anushka welcomed their daughter Vamika in January 2021. Seeing Anushka become a mother taught the cricketer about the strength of women. He said, “Seeing her become a mother was amazing, but I also saw what it takes to become a mother. Just the way she’s handled everything… She’s shot an entire film in between, it’s incredible. That is when you truly appreciate a woman’s strength.”
Kohli is currently involved in the ongoing Cricket World Cup 2023. Anushka is awaiting the release of Chakda Xpress, a sports drama based on the life of Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami.
