On October 4, a Delhi court granted cricketer Shikhar Dhawan and his estranged wife, Aesha Mukerji, a divorce on the basis of mental abuse. Although the court found that Mukerji had made Dhawan suffer psychologically by making him live apart from his son Zoravar for a long time, it declined to grant permanent custody of their kid.
Rather, it gave Dhawan permission to spend set amounts of time with his son Zoravar and permitted them to stay in touch through video conversations. Recently, Dhawan wrote a heartfelt post for his son that has touched many people’s hearts.
Taking it to his official Instagram handle, Shikhar wrote,“‘Ek ajeeb si betaabi hai tere bin, reh bhi lete hain aur raha bhi nahi jaata.’ – Gulzaar Sahab,” He also sent a screenshot of his son Zoravar’s video call. The screenshot shows Shikhar Dhawan grinning broadly and Zoravar standing with his hands in his hoodie pockets.

The post was shared recently by the cricketer. Since then, it has had over 16.5 million views, and the total continues to rise. Many others, like Harbhajan Singh, who responded to the post with a heart emoticon, appreciated the video and poured their sentiments into the comments area.
After noting that Mrs Dhawan could not provide evidence to refute the accusations, Amily Court Judge Harish Kumar accepted Mr Dhawan’s accusations against his wife. The judge noted that Mr Dhawan endured mental suffering as a result of his wife forcing him into a “long-distance marriage” by moving to Australia and preventing him from seeing his son for an extended period of time.’
For the unversed, Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan plays for the Indian cricket team. He is a left-handed opening batsman who plays first-class cricket for Delhi and captains Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League.
