These cricketers inspired generations of fans, and the sport continued to evolve, particularly with the rise of limited-overs formats like One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and, later, T20s.

The Indian Premier League (IPL), launched in 2008, further boosted the sport’s popularity, making cricket a global spectacle. Today, cricket is not just a sport in India; it’s a part of the country’s identity. From local street matches to massive stadiums packed with cheering fans, cricket remains an integral part of India’s cultural fabric.
