Former UFC champion Conor McGregor was recently spotted partying at a club just six weeks before his highly anticipated comeback match against Michael Chandler. Despite previously announcing that he would quit alcohol, The Irishman was filmed dancing and partying in his Dublin bar. McGregor is set to return at UFC 303 and has already broken the gate record for the MMA organization. The promotion is heading to Dublin on June 3 for a press conference that will include McGregor, Michael Chandler and UFC President Dana White.
McGregor was spotted at a bar in Dublin
In the videos posted on social media, McGregor was seen enjoying the night with his partner Dee Devlin, sharing a cozy moment with her and posing behind the DJ decks with fans. One clip also shows the Irishman holding a whiskey bottle and dancing. He made a grand entrance into the venue, arriving in a luxurious soft-top Bentley and striding into the bar wearing sunglasses and a glower. This party night comes after McGregor committed to a period of sobriety ahead of their fight at UFC 303 on June 30.
Fans have mixed reactions about this
Conor McGregor declared in March 2022 that he will abstain from alcohol, saying, “I will isolate myself, stay away from pubs, stay away from my foraged Irish stout, my delicious Smooth Proper Irish whiskey and dedicate myself to my craft 100 percent.”
However, his commitment to stay sober appeared to waver during a recent live stream on KICK, as he was seen holding a pint of Irish Stout. He avoided drinking it, opting to sniff the beverage and commenting on its quality and creaminess.

MMA fans reacted to the video with mixed emotions. One fan commented by saying that as long as he shows up to act out the script, I see no problem with this. While another stated that he lost, Chandler is going to win. McGregor is not taking this comeback fight seriously. This is probably the most important fight of his career right now.
McGregor’s last fight in the UFC octagon took place on July 10, 2021, at UFC 264. He suffered a seriously broken leg in a TKO loss to Dustin Poirier. His return to the UFC was confirmed in April, with the Irishman stating his intention to stay clean in preparation for his return. However, recent videos show different pictures of his pre-fight regimen.
