Conor McGregor appears to have broken his self-imposed ban on drinking alcohol after he was spotted partying at his pub in Dublin. The Irishman vowed to give up drinking to focus on his comeback fight against Michael Chandler, but he withdrew from the UFC 303 fight due to an undisclosed injury.
McGregor has broken his ban on alcohol
“The Notorious” posted some photos on his Instagram handle showing him drinking a pint of his Forge Irish Stout and another pint with customers at his pub. He was also spotted drinking a shot of Proper 12 whiskey. This behavior is not new for the Irishman, who has been frequently spotted at several pubs partying during his hiatus from the UFC Octagon.
McGregor’s post is getting a lot of backlash and trolls from fans. A user wrote that he either faked his injury or just couldn’t pass the drug test. Another wrote that he pulled out of the fight so he could start drinking again. Most fans believe that McGregor has faked his injury and is unserious about his comeback. Because the post was getting a lot of hate comments, McGregor has put a limit in his comment section.
Dana White expressed uncertainty over McGregor’s return
UFC President Dana White has also expressed uncertainty about McGregor’s future in MMA. Recently, in an interview, White said, “You never know if you’re ever going to see him again. The other thing with getting older, you get injured a lot easier.” McGregor planned to fight three times this year, including a bout against boxing legend Manny Pacquiao.

“The Notorious” has only picked up one win since 2018 and his last fight in the octagon was against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in 2021. He was aiming to win a title at 170 pounds, but his recent injury and antics outside the Octagon have put those plans in jeopardy, leaving fans and opponents in disappointment. McGregor’s future in the UFC remains uncertain and has raised significant concerns about whether he will ever return to the cage.
