Registration is now open, offering a chance to compete for a $25,000 prize fund in the popular four vs. four team format.

In the Spring 2025 season, Saint Louis University (SLU) emerged victorious by defeating the defending champions, University of Missouri, with a convincing 10–2 win in the final. SLU walked away with the $5,000 first-place prize. Will SLU continue their winning streak, or will Mizzou seek redemption? Perhaps a new challenger will rise to claim the CCL championship this season.
Registration Details
Team captains and coaches have until September 18th to register their teams for the upcoming season. To register, captains must follow the steps outlined by the CCL:
Team Captains:
- Register your team on the official CCL website.
- Fill out Chess.com’s registration form.
If your school is not listed on the PlayVS platform, you can request to have it added by contacting Joe Navarro at [email protected].
All Other Players:
- Once your team captain has registered the team, join the team on Chess.com.
- Sign the participation agreement form.
Each team must consist of at least four players, with the option to add up to four substitutes. Detailed regulations and prize information can be found on the CCL website.
Season Schedule
The regular season of the CCL kicks off on September 27 and concludes on November 8, followed by playoffs from November 15 to November 23. Participants are encouraged to sign up and compete alongside other talented college players. For those unable to participate, live coverage of the event will be available on the official CCL website.
