Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has recently revealed that fans would have been pissed if they found out the original plan The Rock had for WrestleMania 40. Cody made this big revelation in an interview with Inside The Ropes. “The American Nightmare” said that he was thinking about the plan on how he would work eventually at WrestleMania 40.
“If people knew the real plan for me, they’d be even more angry. I can’t share the real plan with you, The Rock plan, whatever it may be. That was going to be on my mind in terms of how do we make that work? How do we make this happen? I had a really good team of people around me,” said Cody Rhodes.
WWE Universe would have not accepted The Rock’s plan
The American Nightmare stated that when he was thinking about making it work, his friend DDP calmed him down by saying that whatever happens to him at WrestleMania 40 will ultimately be the best thing. According to Rhodes, this thought of DDP made him insane. Rhodes said that even if The Rock’s plans were put into action, he had to accept it because the approval of the audience was all that mattered.
Even though WWE fans may not know about The Rock’s masterstroke plans, his business partner Brian Gewirtz has made some revelations. He revealed that was against Cody winning the Royal Rumble 2024 as it would make him eligible for the main event of WrestleMania 40, which would reduce the chances of the Final Boss facing Roman Reigns.
Cody Rhodes eventually won at WrestleMania
The Rock was with him in that meeting and Triple H and Nick Khan came to meet him at the hotel to plan for WrestleMania 40. Rhodes had also revealed a few weeks ago that Triple H was the one who stuck to the decision of letting him win the Royal Rumble 2024 so that WWE fans would reject The Rock when he claims to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40. This is what exactly happened. The entire WWE Universe was against The Rock when he tried to take Cody’s place in the big event. Suddenly, plans had to change and The Great One realized that if they went through with their plans, WWE Universe was going to completely reject them.
