The Rock last appeared in WWE following WrestleMania 40 in an episode of Raw. During that appearance he handed the Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes a mystery gift. Since that time, fans have been wondering what was given to the Final Boss and how Rhodes felt. Recently, The American Nightmare revealed that situation.
The People’s Champion returned Cody’s gift
The Rock made it clear that he was not interested in anything Cody gave him in private when the two last faced off. This was a segment that got the entire WWE Universe talking, as the mystery behind the situation was something that many people had been wondering about ever since. It remains to be seen whether or not this will impact what happens next with this storyline whenever The People’s Champion returns to the wrestling world.

But Cody Rhodes admitted in the interview with ‘Busted Open Radio’ how he really felt when the situation unfolded. “It wasn’t a dollar. It was definitely more expensive than that. I tried to make a positive offer, an olive branch, to The Rock and the Seven Bucks team because I have a lot of respect for what they’ve done. They set the table so that I could eat it. He didn’t think it was a positive offer and he handed it back to me,” said Rhodes.

Rhodes was very saddened by the fact that it came back to him. Since his most recent stint ended, The Rock has been working back in Hollywood, continuing his acting career. But he hasn’t been quiet about letting fans know that he is interested in returning and a singles match between The Rock and Rhodes would certainly get a lot of hype. The two of them teased it in a big way in the final segment between them.
While it may not be clear what’s next for The Rock, when it comes to Rhodes, he knows what’s happening. The American Nightmare is set to defend his Undisputed WWE championship against Logan Paul at the upcoming WWE King & Queen of the Ring premium live event.
