The current Undisputed WWE champion, Cody Rhodes, is on great momentum right now after his biggest win at WrestleMania 40, where he dethroned Roman Reigns and finally completed his unfinished story. Now “The American Nightmare” has also got a role in a movie. He is going to act in the upcoming film “Naked Gun” reboot. According to a report, Cody will be making a crucial cameo in the comedy film, which will mark his Hollywood debut.
The American Nightmare will work alongside major actors
Cody Rhodes might be hypnotized as part of his role, which would be a nod to the original 1988 film and would give him the chance to act alongside some big stars like Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson, who are confirmed to be part of the movie. There is also a possibility that Cody might play himself in the film. The director of the movie is Akiva Schaffer. This is going to be a huge step in Rhodes’ journey to success. Although this is going to be his first film, Rhodes does have some acting experience. The WWE Champion played the characters Kurt Smoller in Warehouse 13 and Derek Sampson in “Arrow.”

As you all know, filming a movie is time consuming and although Rhodes is not one of the lead characters, his role is set to have a significant impact that may lead to him being needed a lot on set. In the past, fans had to deal with WWE Superstars being pulled from WWE for long periods of time to shoot many projects, which is one of the reasons why neither The Rock nor John Cena are able to devote much time to WWE television.
Rhodes is scheduled to face AJ Styles
It is currently not known when “Naked Gun” is scheduled to begin shooting or how much time will be required for Rhodes to miss television. However, The American Nightmare will currently focus on his reign as the Undisputed champion and his performances. Cody Rhodes will defend his recently won title for the first time at WWE Backlash, where he will face AJ Styles for the first time ever in history.
