WWE Superstar CM Punk has been having a great time since returning to the company after almost a decade. The second city saint left WWE in 2014 on a sour note and even said that he would never return, but all of this changed last year when Punk appeared at Survivor Series WarGames 2023. His return was arguably the most shocking one in the history of wrestling. Currently, Punk is having a great run in the Stamford-based promotion.
Punk wants to fight Stone Cold or The Rock at WrestleMania
Recently at the Fanatics Fest event, when CM Punk was asked about a rematch with The Rock, he jokingly said, “WrestleMania is now two days. Sign me for WrestleMania 41 night one against Stone Cold and with The Rock at WrestleMania 41 night two.
The Chicago native stated, “Sign me up. They were asking me about Steve Austin over there. WrestleMania is two nights. Give me Steve one night, give me Rock on Night Two, let’s go.”
When CM Punk was asked about the possibility of facing Stone Cold Steve Austin, he issued a challenge to Stone Cold. While calling out Stone Cold, Punk stated that it would be up to Steve, not up to him, because Austin had a great comeback, main eventing WrestleMania. Punk further stated that a match between him and Austin could have happened 10 years ago, but if Stone Cold still wants to sleep, he can call him.
Stone Cold hinted towards his WWE return
Steve Austin returned to the WWE ring for fighting after a long time at WrestleMania 38. Stone Cold Main evented the first night of WrestleMania against Kevin Owens and put up one of the most thrilling performances at his in-ring return. A few days ago, Austin himself talked about the possibility of having another match in WWE and potentially at WrestleMania 41. During an interview with The Athletic, Steve Austin said, “I won’t leave Nevada. It’s hard to get me out of this state, but WrestleMania is in Vegas next year. That’s in Nevada.
Another report suggested that The Rock will return to WWE next year when Monday Night Raw will start broadcasting on Netflix in 2025. So it will be interesting to see if Stone Cold or The Rock are matched up with Punk for next year’s WrestleMania.

Currently, CM Punk is involved in a heated rivalry with Drew McIntyre that began at Royal Rumble 2024. The Cookie Master faced the Scottish Warrior at SummerSlam in a special guest referee match, with Seth Rollins being that referee. McIntyre won the match after Punk diverted his attention to Rollins and gave him the GTS. Now the two men will face each other at Bash in Berlin in a strap match. The matchup will be officially announced on the upcoming episode of Raw.
