Chad Gable has gotten a great push from WWE in the past few months. However, his WWE contract is reportedly set to expire in the near future. “Shorty G” has received a big push ever since he turned heel following his failed attempt to defeat Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship. He has since changed his character and berated Alpha Academy students, leading to Gable receiving “You Suck” chants from the WWE audience.
Gable has become Sami Zayn’s rival since WWE WrestleMania 40 and most recently attempted to win the title once again at WWE’s King and Queen of the Ring. Despite this, it has been confirmed that his WWE contract is set to expire next week.
Gable is yet to sign a new extension
As of now, Gable has not signed an extension with WWE, but it has been noted that the company is interested in re-signing him. However, it is also believed that he will receive offers from various promotions in the wrestling industry and there is going to be strong pressure from various companies to sign him. Interestingly, MMA promotions also have eyes on him and are interested in signing the wrestler if he becomes a free agent.
Many other high-profile stars also faced similar situation
Gable’s contract ending so soon may surprise WWE fans, as he has been featured quite prominently on television lately. But he is not the only high-profile wrestler on the roster whose WWE contract is set to expire soon, making it somewhat of an issue for the company right now. Becky Lynch is the biggest name whose contract is set to expire this week. She already said goodbye to fans on WWE Raw last Monday. Natalya’s contract is also set to expire soon, despite her long tenure with the company.

Former NXT Superstar Dijak’s contract is also set to be up soon. WWE recently brought him up to the main roster during the WWE Draft, indicating a potential push for the star. But given that his contract expires this summer, it is unclear what is next for him. However, WWE has recently secured contract extensions for several big names, including Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, Finn Balor and Damian Priest. These superstars have signed new deals in recent months.
