Celtic vs Dundee: Preview
Celtic form analysis
The Bhoys has shown an ability to grind out results recently behind a sporadically dangerous attack and relatively sturdy defense. On February 25th, Celtic came from behind to defeat Motherwell 3-1 away with late heroics from Idah and Palma overriding Spittal’s first half strike. Earlier on February 17th, Celtic drew 1-1 at home with Kilmarnock after Furuhashiās opener was erased by a stoppage time Watson equalizer.
Prior to that on February 8th, Celtic took down Hibernian 2-1 behind Idahās brace with Levitt netting a second half equalizer. On February 3rd though, Celtic blew a lead in a 1-1 away draw at Aberdeen, dropping points from Miovskiās second half strike after dominating the first half. Celticās best recent result came in a 1-0 home win over Ross County on January 27th thanks to an early Johnston goal. So Celtic has shown resilience but needs to improve holding leads. Overall solid at both ends though, increased composure in closing matches out can translate the decent results into wins.
Dundee form analysis
Dundee has shown some positive signs offensively but defensive issues continue undermining the attackās good work. On February 24th, Dundee lost 2-1 away at Hibernian after McCowan equalized but they conceded late to Maolida. Earlier on February 17th, Dundee earned an impressive 2-0 home win over Ross County powered by a Tiffoney brace. Prior to that though on February 11th, Dundee edged St. Johnstone 2-1 at home with goals from McGhee and a late McCowan penalty winner after conceding first.
On February 8th, Dundee fell 2-0 at St. Mirren as their offense failed to fire. Dundeeās worst recent performance came In a wild 3-2 home loss to Hearts on February 3rd, conceding late to blow a lead built through goals from McGhee and Cameron. So while Dundee has shown they can score, defensive lapses continue undermining positive performances. Tighter organization and consistency at the back will be key for Dundee turning results around.
