Gli Isolani have endured a difficult start back in Serie A following promotion, reflected in inconsistent performances and results. Monza form analysis
Monza entered their second Serie A season aiming to build on a successful maiden campaign achieved through promotion play-offs. However, they were soon brought back down to earth with a narrow 1-0 loss away to Roma, struggling to break down disciplined defences. An impressive Colombo brace along with a Caldirola goal saw Monza dominate and claim a first away victory. This ability deserted them once more though as they drew a disjointed game at home against Torino 1-1. Overall, Monza have shown they can pose an attacking threat led by the likes of Colpani and new loan signing Colombo. But they have struggled for consistency in performances. Greater organisation and game management is required if they are to turn draws into wins against stubborn opposition.
