WWE contracts are constantly expiring and it seems there is no telling whether stars will re-sign with the promotion before their contracts expire. While Chad Gable has reportedly signed an extension with WWE, Becky Lynch is taking a much-needed break and will be a free agent during this time. Ricochet appears to be taking a different route as a report suggested that he will be leaving when his contract expires this summer, and has been taken off WWE TV as a result.
Breakker slammed Ricochet against the car
Just a few hours before Monday night Raw began, there were rumors that Ricochet will make his last appearance in WWE and what happened between him and Braun Breakker on the show proved that those rumors were correct. Despite winning the match on Raw, Bron continued to attack Ilja Dragunov and Ricochet came to the rescue. That didn’t help, as once Breakker was done punishing the Russian star, he turned his attention to Ricochet.
The beating that Breakker gave to Ricochet, smashing him into the production truck, seemed reminiscent of when Kevin Nash did the same to Rey Mysterio. The attack didn’t stop until Breakker picked Ricochet up and slammed him hard against the car’s windshield. Ricochet was taken away in an ambulance and this will likely be the last time fans see him for quite some time. His fiancee and WWE ring announcer, Samantha Irvin, left the arena with him in the ambulance. Some fans expressed their concern that Irwin might decide to leave the company with Ricochet, but that’s not likely to happen right now as Samantha’s last few months have been the best of her career so far.

It is unclear when Ricochet’s contract will actually expire
There is no exact date given for when Ricochet’s contract will expire, it’s just that he will finish his contract with WWE this summer. He is not scheduled to have any more appearances, whether on TV or at live events, which could mean he’s a free agent for now. The most likely promotion for him to go now could be AEW.
