BH vs MS Live Score: The BBL 13 is all set to kickstart with zest & peps on the 7th of December. The season will be special for the fans & players just like any other new BBL season. But this time there is a change in the format with the league stage being reduced to 40 people from 56 people. So the teams will aim to make an early impact right from the beginning of the league.
Brisbane Heat was lucky to display an outstanding performance in the last season of BBL. But they couldn’t beat the Scorchers in the finals & were just one step behind lifting the trophy. Stars have qualified for either the semi-final or final in eight of their first nine BBL matches but their recent showings were poor. They ended the last tournament with just three wins against two teams which were their only wins. Heading into the new season they will aim to change their reputation.
BH vs MS Teams Preview
Brisbane Heat Preview
Brisbane Heat’s run to the final was notable for their squad who performed stupendously to deliver exceptional performances over the second half of the campaign. But this is a new season & the supporters will wonder who will be their new heroes to help them conquer the finals & win this edition of the league.
The power hitter Colin Munro is riding fresh from the Abu Dhabi T10 where he has hit scores of 36 not out and 44 not out. The New Zealander is in a gleaming form & has been one of the top performers in BBL after last season with Scorchers. He is coming for this second season with Heat alongside England’s all-format wicket-keeper batter Sam Billings.
Another England batter, all-rounder Essex and Manchester Originals’ Paul Walter, will make his BBL debut this year and he is marching into this fixture with a reputation of scoring quick runs at a quick rate & scalping quick wickets. In the pace attack, Michael Neser will lead the attack and he will be looking for his 100th BBL wicket in this game.
Brisbane Heat Predicted Playing XI:
Josh Brown, Usman Khawaja (c), Marnus Labuschagne, Colin Munro, Sam Billings (wk), Paul Walter, Max Bryant, Spencer Johnson, Michael Neser, Mitch Swepson, Matthew Kuhnemann
Melbourne Stars Preview
Melbourne Stars were absolutely out of form last season as they were relying only on the services of Maxwell to return & make an impact in the middle order to help the team end on a competitive side.
Their lineup looked extremely fragile with both batting & bowling orders failing to step up & deliver. They are dependent on the services of Maxwell who missed out last year due to a leg injury. He has achieved to double ton to save Australia from guaranteed defeat against Afghanistan in the World Cup 2023 before smashing an unbeaten ton in the T20I series against India to register a stunning win. After suffering an injury the way he has performed is commendable. In their bowling attack, Nathan Counter Nile is a powerful & consistent bowler who has a strong record against Usman Khawaja & will try their best to lead Stars’ bowling attack to the fullest.
Melbourne Stars Predicted Playing XI:
Sam Harper (wk), Nick Larkin, Marcus Stoinis, Glenn Maxwell (c), Hilton Cartwright, Tom Rogers, Liam Dawson, Corey Rocchiccioli, Brody Couch, Haris Rauf, Usama Mir
BH vs MS Pitch & Weather Conditions
The weather will be clear with no chances of rain & the temperature will be around 25 degrees from start to finish. Many Test series have begun at the Gabba & it will be great to see how the pitch will turn. We can expect a batter-friendly pitch with the batters having no worries about the pace or consistency of the bounce on this pitch.
Toss to Bowl
The team batting first has come up on top in six of the last seven BBL matches in Brisbane so it would be a big surprise if any of the captains won the toss & elected to field first in the season opener.
BH vs MS Winning Prediction
Brisbane Heat are the clear favorites to win this match on their home turf looking at their gleaming performances last season. With Maxwell back into the attack, the Stars will be stronger but expect him there is no one whom they can rely on. Looking at their recent forms & performances we predict, the Brisbane Heat to win this match.
