Royal Challengers Bengaluru Marketing Head Granted Interim Bail
Nikhil Sosale, the Head of Marketing & Revenue for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, has been granted interim bail following his arrest in connection with the tragic stampede outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium during RCB’s IPL victory celebrations. However, as a condition of his bail, Sosale has been asked to surrender his passport.

Last Friday, Sosale, along with two employees of DNA Entertainment Network, Kiran Kumar (Senior Event Manager) and Sunil Mathew (Vice President – Business Affairs), were arrested in relation to the stampede that occurred on June 4, resulting in 11 deaths. Sosale was taken into custody by the Central Crime Branch in the early hours of the morning on June 6.
Following his arrest, Sosale’s counsel raised concerns about the legality of the arrest in the Karnataka High Court. The case was adjourned until the beginning of this week, and after hearing arguments from both sides, the High Court announced its decision on Thursday afternoon.

The gathering of the crowd outside the stadium was attributed to the RCB’s announcement on their official website about the free entry pass distribution.”
