For several months, there has been talk surrounding various WWE Superstar contracts expiring in 2024 without a new deal. Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre were two of the biggest names WWE wanted to re-sign and both recently signed new long-term deals. The third big name whose current contract is expiring soon is Becky Lynch, and she is yet to follow in the footsteps of Rollins and McIntyre.
Lynch is the highest paid female in the company
According to a report, Lynch is still working under an old WWE deal and that deal expires in three weeks. Most probably, Lynch and WWE are in talks to make sure it doesn’t get to the point where Lynch’s contract expires. In fact, Becky Lynch is the highest-paid female wrestler in WWE history.
If the deal is renewed, it would put “The Man” on more money than Charlotte Flair, who broke that particular record by signing a new deal of her own at the end of 2023. Formerly, the two women were very close friends, but they no longer see eye to eye, with their real-life animosity towards each other becoming visible on TV during their infamous title exchange segment. While Lynch is likely to get a chance to potentially earn a title more than Flair, she is eager to do so for several reasons.
Will Becky go on a break ?
Even though her contract expiration is coming up, it seems unlikely the company will allow Lynch to become a free agent. She is currently the Women’s World Champion and is preparing to defend that title against Liv Morgan at King and Queen of the Ring. The match would take place before Lynch’s contract expires, so in the unlikely event the champion does not want to sign a new deal with WWE, she has a chance to drop the title before her deal expires.

Like Rollins and McIntyre, Lynch’s expiring contract is still creating many questions in fans’ minds. It is possible that if The Man doesn’t sign a new deal in the next three weeks, she will vacate her title so she can take some time off. Lynch was supposed to take a break after WrestleMania, but after Rhea Ripley got injured, she returned and won the title. She may seem to be on the brink of a break, which is why neither party is in a rush to sign a new deal.
