The way Monday night Raw ended and a post shared by Becky Lynch on social media, it seems that she is taking a break from wrestling. The timing of her much-needed break is interesting amid rumors that “The Man” has not signed an extension with WWE. After losing her steel cage rematch against Liv Morgan on Raw, she posted her photo on social media that shows Lynch walking away, reminiscent of someone walking off into the sunset as if they are leaving for a long time. In the caption she wrote, “To be continued.”
Lynch dropped the Women’s title to Morgan
There have been rumors for several weeks that Lynch has not reached an agreement on a new contract extension with WWE. In an interview before WrestleMania, she indicated that the two sides had not even spoken. Most people assumed that some portion of the business would be taken care of, but as the weeks passed and WWE stars like Finn Balor and Drew McIntyre signed long-term deals, there was no news of a new deal for The Man. Lynch also won the Women’s World title, vacated by unexpectedly injured Rhea Ripley. After this, she dropped the title to Liv Morgan at the King and Queen of the Ring tournament. This loss made sense, as WWE does not let someone actively hold the championship whose contract is expiring.
She is free to go anywhere now
There are reports that Lynch’s current WWE contract expires on June 1. When contracts with the company expire, wrestlers are free to go elsewhere. That means if Lynch is interested in switching and AEW offers her a better payout and contract, she might appear in AEW. However, it is expected that Lynch does not intend to leave WWE and just wants a break, which she was going to take after WrestleMania 40, but the unexpected injury to Ripley led her to lead the women’s division. She may want to take advantage of the contract offer from AEW in her negotiations with WWE. But her husband, Seth Rollins, has been under contract with WWE for a long time, and Lynch herself stated that she did not believe fans had seen her at her last WrestleMania.

WWE will definitely miss Lynch, especially if she takes a long break. The Man is indeed a top star in the company and is worth every penny she can ask for. She is also a mother and taking a break may be her priority. We hope she gets a good rest, spends time with her daughter and comes back with a new contract in her hand.
