Bayern Munich vs Galatasaray: Preview
Bayern Munich form analysis
Bayern’s recent run of games has showcased their status as the Bundesliga’s dominant force, annihilating teams for fun. They started in impressive fashion, beating Mainz 1-3 away thanks to goals from Coman, Kane and Goretzka. This continued as they dismantled Galatasaray 1-3 away in Europe, again scoring through Coman, Kane and Musiala. Bayern’s dominance reached new heights in the next game, thrashing Darmstadt 8-0 at home powered by a Kane hat-trick.
However, problems surfaced in a shock 1-2 away cup loss at Saarbrücken, taking the lead through Müller but outfought by the minnows. Normal service quickly resumed though as Bayern tore apart rivals Dortmund 4-0 away, with Kane netting a perfect hat-trick alongside Upamecano’s early opener. Overall, Bayern look completely unstoppable, scoring 20 goals in this run. With in-form stars like Kane, Musiala and Coman, it’s hard to see anyone stopping them from retaining their title this season.
Galatasaray form analysis
Galatasaray’s recent run of games has showcased an attack with real potency even if defensive issues remain. They started with an excellent 2-0 away win at Antalyaspor thanks to goals from Dominguez and Icardi. Building on this, Galatasaray secured a vital 2-1 home win over rivals Besiktas courtesy of a brace from the in-form Icardi after initially going behind. However, problems at the back surfaced in a 1-3 home loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League – equalizing through Icardi’s penalty but afforded too many chances.
Back on track in the league, Galatasaray ground out a narrow 1-0 away win at Rizespor thanks to Oliveira’s strike in an assured display. Most recently they returned home to beat Kasimpasa 2-1, with summer signing Zaha netting twice before conceding late on. Overall, Galatasaray have looked dangerous in attack but their defensive frailties have often been exposed. Finding greater solidity at the back will be key to sustaining a title push this season.
