After Rinku Singh’s outstanding performance in the current Twenty20 International Series against Australia, former fast bowler Ashish Nehra of the Indian cricket team was full of praise for him. In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Rinku demonstrated his abilities as a finisher for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). He was outstanding in the second Twenty20 international match, hitting 31 off of just nine deliveries. Nehra referred to Rinku as a valuable member of the Indian cricket squad and stated that, despite his current restriction to Twenty20 international cricket, a strong performance could earn the left-handed hitter a spot in the team for one-day international cricket as well. Ashish Nehra was all praise for Rinku Singh
Nehra stated on JioCinema, “He has done it before. This is not the first time. We’ve all been talking about his function and authority. It demonstrates that he is an excellent team player in addition to his hitting ability by the manner in which he throws himself onto the field. He’ll be very beneficial to Indian cricket. Sure, we’re just discussing T20 cricket, but who knows? Maybe tomorrow he’ll be playing ODI cricket as well.”
In addition, Nehra emphasized that he dislikes the term “finisher” and clarified that Rinku is capable of playing at No. 4 or 5 if he can further develop his skills.

He said, “I don’t think the term ‘finisher’ is very appealing. If your opener reaches 100 points, he can end the game and return. It can be brutal at times. As an illustration, suppose Rinku Singh doesn’t complete the game once or twice. Returning to Rinku Singh, I see him participating in 50-over cricket in the future. He is a player who can even play up the order.
Nehra clarified, “He can bat at the No. 4, No. 5, or No. 6. The Indian squad may be 40 for 4 in 5–6 overs on any given strange day. Furthermore, I hope Rinku Singh is prepared for any job and isn’t interested in being labeled as a finisher. He ought to strive for excellence across the board,” he continued.
