Arsenal form analysis
Arsenal’s recent run of games has showcased an entertaining attack capable of scoring goals but also concerning defensive issues. Burnley’s recent run of games has shown they can score goals and threaten teams but remain extremely vulnerable defensively. They started with an excellent come from behind 2-1 away cup win at Luton. Turning it around late through goals from Foster and Bruun Larsen after initially going behind. However, defensive issues surfaced next game in a heavy 1-4 home loss to Chelsea, going ahead early before capitulating at the back. This continued away at Brentford as they were well beaten 0-3, torn apart on the break after a passive first half.
Back came the goals in attack in their next match, but familiar problems remained in a 1-2 away loss at Bournemouth, equalizing through Taylor but caught out twice at the back. Most recently, Burnley’s defensive struggles persisted in a disappointing 0-2 home loss to Palace, passive first half defending costing them dear despite a stronger second half showing. Overall, Burnley have shown endeavour in attack but remain far too open defensively to realistically challenge for promotion this season.
