Indian MMA Fighter: We may have witnessed the biggest upset of the year with Sean Strickland’s stunning victory against Israel Adesanya to capture the middleweight gold. Even greater news for Indian fans, though, is that rising UFC star Anshul Jubli has officially declared his comeback. He will be on the next UFC 294 PPV show, which will include the Makhachev vs. Oliveira bout as its main event, after signing a deal with the UFC. The occasion is slated to occur on October 21, 2023.
Anshul Jubli-Indian MMA Fighter Announces Return
Anshul Jubli, the ‘King of Lions’ fighter who is 28 years old, won the Road to UFC Finals two months ago. Jubli is without a doubt the face of Indian mixed martial arts, and he is about to go all out on the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), the greatest MMA platform. Anshul intends to compete in the UFC by the year’s end.

The famous video of Jubli saying, “Namaste UFC, India is here!” went viral when he won the Road to UFC and became the first Indian to sign a contract with the biggest organisation in the fighting industry. Anshul recently had an open conversation about his experience with a Zeenews reporter in Delhi.
It’s incredible that a fighter from Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, took MMA seriously enough to become the face of Indian MMA in 2018.
Anshul said, “I started doing MMA in 2015 to collect certificates because I was preparing myself for the Combined Defence Services (CDA) Examination. When asked about his idealogy prior to starting MMA,” Anshul said. “I started doing MMA in 2015. I made the decision to start fighting because I knew I would not perform well or very well in my academics, and I wanted to show my selectors that I was doing this in my spare time.”
Jubli changed his attention to MMA solely in 2018 after realising after three years that he was far better at what he was doing than what he had planned to accomplish. To be precise, Anshul understood that with time and effort, he may get far greater outcomes.
The Indonesian Jeka Saragih was beaten by Jubli in the Road to UFC championship match this year in Las Vegas. Due to his Indian DNA, Anshul was viewed as an underdog at the camp (Las Vegas). He even said that the conversations in the UFC camp about Indians weren’t exactly polite. He admitted hearing rumours that viewers expected the Indian boxers to be the stars of their show, being knocked out or strangled. He was able to perform at his peak as a result of this fact, and he later shocked many by winning the event.
Anshul talked about his relationship with Timex and thanked the company for helping him before he was offered a contract with the UFC.
“I’d want to thank Timex for helping me out when I wasn’t all that well-known. I now have the Road to UFC victory, but when this organisation chose to support me, it gave me more motivation since it showed that I am a big deal and must live up to expectations.”
Who will Anshul Jubli go up against?
Anshul Jubli, 28, will face lightweight contender Mike Breeden from the United States. Breeden, a mixed martial artist (MMA) from the United States with a record of 10 victories, 6 losses, and 0 draws, has recently struggled with a streak of setbacks. Notably, he has lost his last three UFC matches.
Jubli is the centre of attention since he is the only Indian fighter in the UFC, and the MMA scene in India is now quite enthusiastic about him. Jubli is well-known due to his unblemished record of 7 triumphs and 0 losses. With so much to look forward to, Thgus’ bout next month has supporters on the edge of their seats.
