The special-edition launch marks the sports footwear and apparel brand’s first head-to-toe collaboration in the tennis space.Asics gear has always been the epitome of function. The Japanese sneaker giant has partnered with Parisian label A.P.C. to create new on-court and off-court collections that capture timeless tennis fashion in minimalist designs.The clothes come in crisp blues and whites, presented in a monochromatic aesthetic with 1970s-inspired preppy style.The Asics x A.C.P. 7-in Sprinter Short looks great in action.The 20-piece on-court collection contains three core design elements that draw from Japanese heritage. Kasane is the art of layering; the enso motif—a circular symbol representing enlightenment—is featured throughout; and traditional shibori tie-dye technique is applied to the Asics logo.Standouts in the women’s line are the Crew Dress, Crew Sleeveless Top, 2-in-1 Short, Longline Bra and 7-in Sprinter Short. Both models have identical specs as the standard versions, but with the unique cosmetics. A hat, wristband and socks round out the performance range.Complementing the on-court wear is a 30-piece off-court collection. Highlights include sweats and hoodies that offer a relaxed style for everyday wear. Special-edition Gel-Kayano 14 x A.P.C. sneakers can be paired for fashionable footwear.
