Former kickboxer and social media influencer Andrew Tate, who is already facing charges in Romania of rape, human trafficking and organizing gangs to exploit women, is under scrutiny now for his controversial online influence. Deputy Chief Constable Maggie Blyth has described Tate’s influence as quite frightening. The authorities are investigating links between his rhetoric and rising misogyny amongst young boys. Millions of crimes were reported last year, which is leading to question the extent to which online impact influences violence.
Tate is accused of influencing young minds against females
Police chiefs have accused Andrew Tate of fueling an epidemic of violence against women and girls. According to a report, more than one million crimes were recorded against women and girls in the last two years. Maggie Blyth described Tate’s impact on young boys as ‘quite terrifying.’ She also highlighted the need for a strong response, saying, “We are dealing with this in the same way we deal with issues of terrorism and other significant threats.”
Tate, who is facing criminal charges for rape and human trafficking, has denied all allegations. But still, his online presence continues to grow. Many boys admire him and are influenced by his misogynistic views. Lisa Squires, whose daughter was murdered in 2019, also shared her concerns in an interview and said that social media has a huge influence, but the minds of the young boys aren’t developed enough to understand these things.
Crimes against women are on rise
Records show that the violence against women and young girls has increased by 37 percent in the last five years. Child sexual abuse and exploitation crimes have increased by 435 percent from 2013 to 2022. British Police Assistant Commissioner Louisa Rolfe stressed the seriousness of the situation and said that they are working harder than ever to improve their response to these crimes. This has become a national emergency and the impact of people like Andrew Tate is a significant concern that requires urgent action.
A few days ago, Andrew and Tristan Tate criticized IShowSpeed on social media. Andrew took X to express his anger over a video of IShowSpeed accidentally scaring a toddler. Andrew wrote, “Did he really scare a man’s child on purpose? Screamed in a baby’s face? Then he got his big guards to scare the father. Bro, these clowns are out of control.” He further stated that it is a horrible feeling as a father to see your child being bullied and know you have no physical chances against the goons.
Tristan Tate also echoed his brother’s comments and wrote that he has never seen any video of IShowSpeed because he thinks that none of them are beneficial or useful for a young person to watch.
