The WWE Draft is the most exciting time of the year for WWE fans. It was earlier called the “WWE Superstar Shakeup.” The Draft was first used in 2002, when the Stamford-based promotion was called “World Wrestling Federation” (WWF). In 2011, the company ended the original brand split, but it was brought back again in 2016. WWE will have its 18th edition held this month. The two-night event will shake up all rosters and mark a new beginning for the company’s superstars. The WWE Draft 2024 will begin on April 26 with an episode of Friday Night SmackDown and end on April 29 with Monday Night RAW. The first night of the Draft will emanate from Heritage Bank Center (Cincinnati) and the second from T-Mobile Center in Kansas City. The extravaganza will see the blue and red brands split their superstars to make a new roster.
All three brands are eligible for WWE Draft 2024
This year’s draft is expected to see superstars from all three rosters, including RAW, SmackDown and NXT. The general managers of the respective brands, Adam Pearce, Nick Aldis and Ava, will represent their brands and pick the superstars for their rosters. They might come on stage to pick the superstars, which will add an interesting flavor to the event. All three will seek to fill up their roster with the best of the best.
Potential Rules for WWE Draft 2024 :-
- The Blue brand is expected to have four rounds on the first night of the Draft.
- The Red brand might have six rounds on the second night of the Draft.
- Injured Superstars will potentially not be not eligible to participate in the Draft.
- Superstars from factions might be available as individuals to be picked.
- The current champions of respective brands will be available to be drafted into another brand.
- All picks from the draft will come effective from the next week’s episode of SmackDown.
