Shoaib Akhtar on cricketer Babar Azam:
Shoaib Akhtar stated, “Yes, Babar Azam was unable to succeed once more. However, Abdullah Shafique is a player that we have found to be similar to Babar Azam. Although Babar is a fantastic athlete, you still need to compete in bigger games like these. He will eventually be able to achieve that, I’m sure. I hope he can play a solid knock in a big game.”
The former fast-bowler had been keeping his fingers crossed for the upcoming matchup with the Men in Blue. The talented bowler wants Pakistan to do well in their upcoming match against the hosts. The Rawalpindi-born cricketer added that one shouldn’t expect too much from Pakistani bowlers because they aren’t ODI bowlers.
“I’m crossing my fingers for the game versus India. I want Pakistan to succeed in the world. I’m not going to berate Pakistan’s bowling. These are our children, so we ought to support them. How can you expect these bowlers to succeed in this format given that they are not ODI bowlers? In the next two or three games, this bowling squad will start to perform,” he continued.

Despite the difficulties, the cricketing world is still optimistic that the World Cup will continue to feature the exciting and competitive cricket that fans have come to expect.
