The Rock’s most recent run in the WWE was loved by everyone and it proved that “The Great One” still has something left in the tank. With the thought of more clashes for him on WWE fans’ minds, AJ Styles has recently made a comment about it. “The Phenomenal One” has been one of the most stunning wrestlers in the wrestling world for the last two decades. He has raised the bar in terms of fan expectations and that’s why him facing top names who he hasn’t had a match with yet often leads to WWE fans calling them dream matches.
Styles showed interest in fighting with The Rock
The idea of Styles competing against The Rock definitely sounds exciting. It’s a clash that many once thought was impossible, but now that the People’s Champion has gained interest in the wrestling world again, it can’t be ruled out. Styles is definitely open to the idea, but he admitted that he has one condition for competing against the Hollywood Star.
In an interview, AJ Styles said, “Sure, I’m interested—-but only if it means The Rock is turning babyface. I’m not interested in being a mediocre bad guy. I want to bring this to a whole new level.”
The Final Boss promised to return soon
Obviously any potential match between Styles and The Rock would require The Great One to return to the company. He last appeared on the episode of Monday night RAW following WWE WrestleMania 40, where he had a promo segment with Cody Rhodes, but he did tease that he will be returning after the hiatus. The Rock handed a mysterious item to The American Nightmare, hinting for a potential singles match between the two men at some point. Meanwhile, a dream match between The Rock and Roman Reigns remains on the table. There has been an assumption that Reigns will return as a babyface against the current Bloodline group, possibly led by The Rock to set up the storyline.

There is no official date or information on when The Rock will return, but he has made it clear on social media that it is something he plans to do. It remains to be seen if the Final Boss will be around long enough to work with superstars like Styles. But his character was definitely interesting and fans would want to see him again.
