Adam Voges’ coaching prowess has been nothing short of spectacular, leading both Western Australia and Perth Scorchers to consecutive domestic trebles across the Sheffield Shield, Marsh Cup, and BBL. Now, he is set to take the reins of the Australia A squad as they face off against New Zealand in a thrilling cricket series.
The series, scheduled to take place in Queensland later this month, will consist of two four-day matches and three 50-over matches. It coincides with Australia’s T20 and ODI tour of South Africa, adding an extra layer of excitement for cricket fans around the world.
Although the Australia A squad is yet to be announced, Voges’ coaching staff is already established and includes some notable names. Former Australian captain Tim Paine joins the ranks, bringing his vast experience to the team.

It will be a three-and-a-half weeks time that he’ll spend with the Australia A team, seeing it as a valuable chance to further enhance his coaching skills. After that, he plans to dive headfirst into the domestic season, leading West Australian team who were indomitable last year.
The action-packed series will kick off with a four-day game at Allan Border Field in Brisbane from August 28 to 31, showcasing the best talents from Australia A and New Zealand. Then, the stage shifts to Great Barrier Reef Stadium in Mackay for a day-night fixture from September 4 to 7, promising an enthralling spectacle under lights.
The excitement doesn’t end there, as the teams switch to the 50-over format in Mackay for the first game on September 10. The remaining two 50-over matches will take place in Brisbane on September 13 and 15, completing the thrilling cricketing extravaganza.
