The Afghanistan cricket team wore a black armband in the ODI World Cup match against India on October 11 as a mark of respect for the victims. Now, Actor Sonu Sood comes forward to aid and spread awareness along with cricket sensation Rashid Khan.
In the meantime, cricket superstar Rashid Khan from Afghanistan and Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, who is also known for his charitable work, have teamed up to raise money for the earthquake victims in Afghanistan. Rashid tweeted the video on his social media account, and his followers praised them for doing so.

Rashid had stated that he would contribute all money earned during the ODI World Cup 2023, including his match fees, to the victims who are going through a very difficult time. He said, “I learned about the dreadful effects of the earthquake that hit Afghanistan’s western provinces (Herat, Farah, and Badghis) with tremendous regret. All of my World Cup match costs will be donated to the impacted folks. We will soon start a fundraising effort to ask for donations from individuals who can help those in need”
