GTA San Andreas is one of the most popular games in the GTA series. Naturally, there are many myths surrounding various things in the game, especially the NPCs. There are some pedestrians who act weirdly compared to other NPCs. In this article, we will take a look at some strange NPC myths. You can find out if all of this is true by playing the game without installing the mods.
1) Clowns
Clowns in GTA Andreas are the type of NPCs that are usually found around ice-cream trucks. The thing that makes them weird is the sensual jokes on the back of the ice cream vans. Some players have compared these pedestrians to perverts and harassers. Some have even likened them to the killer clown in San Andreas, like the Midnight Clown.
2) Mr. Trenchcoat
He is the center of many San Andreas myths and conspiracies. Mr. Trenchcoat is one of the most weird NPCs who wears a big, long, black trench coat along with a black cowboy hat and an American flag around his neck. He always comes across as a conspiracy theorist and always mentions many conspiracy theories. Those theories include several references and GTA Easter eggs for aliens and being abducted by them. He also talks about shapeshifters, like lizards disguised as humans.
3) Benny
Some of the most odd San Andreas characters are found in the areas like Red County, Whetstone and Flint County. One of the characters is Country White Male Hillbilly 1, who is also the most scary looking. Several myths are linked to this weird-looking NPC and interestingly, Rockstar Games has used this character’s model many times.
This weird NPC appears as Benny, one of the clients of Millie Perkins, who appears during the mission “Key to her Heart.” He is also once seen as one of the survivalists that Carl can kill during the mission “Big Harvest.” Many players have linked him to the Piggsy myth, while others think that he is linked to the Leatherface legend. Some even think that, in reality, he is a zombie because of his facial features. But all those myths are false.
4) CJ’s Mother
CJ’s mother, Beverly Johnson, died before the events of San Andreas, so there are definitely many myths surrounding her. Many people have claimed that they have seen her ghost in the Johnson House at Grove Street in the game. While others claim that she can be seen walking in the street just like an ordinary pedestrian, while the first myth is false, the other one is true, as one of the NPCs in the game looks exactly like CJ’s mom, as seen in her photo. This is likely because the studio reused the pedestrians and used the in-game character model as a placeholder for CJ’s home.
5) The Unknown Guy
He is one of the most meek NPCs, players can be seen walking in the streets of San Andreas. The Unknown Guy is a skinny African-American with a grooved hair cut. He wears slacks, sneakers and a hooded denim jacket. The thing that makes him one of the strangest pedestrians is that players have connected him to one of the weirdest GTA myths. Some claim that he is related to the Epsilon program because of his jacket’s color. But this doesn’t make any sense. This character is listed as Male01 in the game files and spawns as a train driver on all the trains in San Andreas. His file name is strange, as it simply says “MALE01” rather than a code like CWMYHBI that indicates his spawn location.
