In September 2022, Grand Theft Auto fans got to see the first unofficial looks of the highly anticipated GTA 6 through leaks. The leaked development footage was the biggest source of information on GTA 6 in a long time. Rockstar Games decided to drop the official GTA 6 trailer on December 5, 2023. The trailer made everyone swoon and go crazy as it had astonishing graphics. Besides this, the fans got to see some of those things that had already popped up in the leaked footage. In this article, we will have a look at those five things from the leak that can also be seen in the official trailer.
1) Pedestrians
Pedestrians are one of the most important aspects of the studio’s open-world games, as they help bring the virtual world to life. While many are seen having a conversation at one spot, it is a rare sight to see a group traveling together on foot. A deviation was seen in the GTA 6 leak when three people were walking past Lucia all together. This can also be seen in the trailer footage at various points during the shots of the ocean drive and beach.
2) Ocean Drive
The fans will get to visit Vice City in GTA 6, which has made their excitement reach a new level. The location is based in Miami and is especially known by the title Grand Theft Auto City. The most recognizable area in the city is Ocean Drive, which is based on Miami’s Ocean Drive. It is the location where GTA Vice City’s protagonist, Tommy Vercetti, had his first safe house and it was seen in the GTA leaks. The fans finally got a better look at it in the official trailer.
3) Airboat
An Airboat is a unique vehicle as it has a huge fan housed in a cage. Its iteration has appeared in GTA Vice City and San Andreas. The Airboat was seen in the leak and then again in the official trailer. It was seen in action better in the trailer and it displayed an area that might be inspired by the Florida Everglades.
4) The Male Character
The franchise’s last series, GTA 5, had multiple protagonists and it looks like this trend will be followed in the upcoming game as well. The GTA 6 leaks showed a playable male character allegedly named Jason. A similar looking guy was seen in the trailer as well as in official artwork by the studio. He looks integral to the storyline but isn’t named officially. We might see more of him and get to know more about his character in the second trailer for GTA 6.
5) Lucia
The game’s Lucia will be the first playable female protagonist in the GTA series. She was introduced in the trailer and narrated it by the end. However, the fans already knew they were going to get a female lead due to GTA 6’s leak revelations. Her voice actor is rumored to be Manni L. Perez. The voices in the leaks and the trailer were observed by the fans to be matching.
