WWE WrestleMania XL is finally over after two historic nights. This year’s WrestleMania is already being considered one of the best in the past few years, as it had lots of surprises and peak entertainment. Cody Rhodes finally finished the story after pinning Roman Reigns to become the new undisputed Universal champion. The Rock competed in the WWE after almost a decade and seven title changes took place at the event. Coming out of WrestleMania, some storylines have already emerged that can be pursued very soon. The storylines teased at the Shows of the Shows will most likely be resolved at WWE Backlash.
Kabuki Warriors vs Cargill, Naomi and Bianca
The WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, The Kabuki Warriors, faced Jade Cargill, Naomi and Bianca Belair in a six-woman tag team match at WrestleMania XL. The match wasn’t for the tag title, but Kaire Cane, Asuka and Dakota Kai were defeated. As the Skull Reaper Kana and The Pirate Princess return to their post-WrestleMania duties, the ones to challenge them will definitely be two of the women from the trio that defeated them. Cargill, Naomi and Belair will be the most logical challengers for the title after the Shows of Shows.
LA Night and The Maverick
Logan Paul and LA Knight’s first ever encounter was on Road to Money in the Bank in 2023. The trash-talking style of both wrestlers instantly caught the audience’s attention, who wanted the two to face each other. Both men continued to trash talk each other via social media, but the heat went down the road to WrestleMania 40. Both superstars were successful at the biggest WWE stage of the year. Logan Paul defended his United States Championship by winning the triple threat, while Knight defeated AJ Styles. Given that many WWE fans wanted to see The Megastar dethrone The Maverick, there is definitely a possibility that WWE may create a storyline.
Sami Zayn and Gable
Sami Zayn dethroned Gunther off the WWE Intercontinental Championship at the Shows of the Shows. Before the match, he got motivation from a lot of people, like his wife, son and his best friend Kevin Owens, who made him remember what he was fighting for. One of the people was Gunther’s bitter rival, Chad Gable. However, “Shorty G” also reminded “The Underdog from the Underground” that he owes him a favor for training him if he won. With Sami now the Intercontinental Champion, we could see Gable and him face-to-face very soon.
McIntyre and Damian Priest
Drew McIntyre had a thrilling night at WrestleMania XL as he did what he said he would and dethroned Seth Rollins of the World Heavyweight Championship. But after winning, instead of going straight backstage, “The Scottish Warrior” chose to go to the commentary box to mock CM Punk. That’s when his night turned into a disaster. He fell prey to the attack by “Cookie Master,” and then came Damian Priest, successfully cashing in his money in the bank. Rollins nobly accepted the defeat, while Punk is still weeks away from being cleared. So McIntyre will definitely turn to “The Archer of Infamy,” who stole his shining moment at the Mania.
Cody Rhodes and The Rock
“The American Nightmare” finally finished his story at WrestleMania XL by conquering the Head of the Table and he has become the new WWE Undisputed Universal Champion. After winning over superstars like Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar, Cody has finally climbed the big mountain. However, his biggest nightmare on the Road to WrestleMania was The Rock, who trash talked, slapped him and even beat him to pulp. “The Rock” even pinned Rhodes on Night One of the Mania. A single feud between these two men is desired by the whole WWE Universe. So there’s definitely a possibility of the two of them face-to-face in the ring once more down the road.
