Ahead of the 2024 season of the Women’s Premier League, Gujarat Giants has dealt with a big blow. So, the franchise has bought another player Sayali Satghare as a new entrant to the team ahead of WPL 2024. Their most expensive signing as an uncapped Indian player, Kashvee Gautam has been ruled out of the season because of injury.
He was bought by the franchise for a prize of INR 2 crore. Gujarat Giants didn’t have a great season last year and has already dealt with a blow before the start of a new season. Nevertheless, to cope up with the damage, the franchise has invested in another uncapped all-rounder, Sayali Satghare, at a reserve price of ₹10 lakh.
She will be replacing Kashvee Gautam for the upcoming season. Sayali Satghare has yet to make her name on the big stage and is an unknown commodity for now. She will be playing her debut season in the upcoming edition.

Sayali Satghare plays for Mumbai and West Zone women’s teams in various domestic and junior competitions. So far, she has played 25 T20 matches and has managed to pick up 18 wickets at an average of 20.22 and a brilliant economy of 5.20. With that bat, she strikes at 114.11 and averages 19.
2. Picked a seven-wicket haul in the 2021 Women’s Senior One-Day Trophy
During the 2021 Women’s Senior One-Day Trophy, she made headlines after picking seven wickets for just five runs in 8.4 overs against Nagaland. Six batters were dismissed in that innings without even opening their account. Sayali ended up picking nine wickets in five matches in the tournament.
3. Played a pivotal role in Mumbai’s team that won the 2023 Senior Women’s T20 Trophy
Sayali Satghare was an integral part of the Mumbai team that won the 2023 Senior Women’s T20 trophy. She rubbed shoulders with the likes of Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh, Deepti Sharma, and Saskika Ishaque, among others and impressed everyone with her bowling exploits.
4. Helped West Zone reach the final of the 2023–24 Women’s Senior Inter Zonal T20
Representing the West Zone team, Sayali Satghare helped the team reach the final of the 2023 Women’s Inter Zonal T20 competition. She finished the tournament as the eighth-highest wicket-taker, once again at a brilliant economy of under 6.
5. Bagged six wickets in Mumbai in the 2018-19 Under-19 Women’s T20 League
Sayali Satghare dished out a match-winning spell of 6 for 2 for Mumbai in the 2018-19 Under-19 Women’s T20 League. Her inspiring spell helped her team bundle out Manipur for just 9 runs. Overall, she finished with 11 wickets in six matches in the tournament.
