John Cena vs. Solo Sikoa has been officially confirmed for the WWE Crown Jewel. Both Superstars will face each other at the premium live event in Saudi Arabia on Saturday, November 4. The match was announced just hours before SmackDown went live this week. Cena has teased that this could be his last match in WWE. He gave an emotional promo on SmackDown and said he doesn’t know if he’ll be able to get the crowd behind him at WWE Crown Jewel 2023. WWE is presenting Sikoa as the biggest challenge for the 16-time World Champion. This match needs a stipulation to sell the hype around it. So let’s have a look at three possible stipulations for the Cena vs. Sikoa match at WWE Crown Jewel.
Parking lot Match
The G.O.A.T. has been part of some of the toughest matches in WWE history. Cena was involved in a classic parking brawl with the late Eddie Guerrero during the early years of his career. So SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis can book Cena and Sikoa in the parking lot fight for the Crown Jewel. Both fighters can initiate the action inside the parking lot of the arena, even if the match does not entail a parking lot stipulation.
Disqualification for Sikoa if Jimmy Uso interferes
Jimmy Uso has been a constant interruption for John Cena since the 16-time Champ made his return to SmackDown in September. He cost Cena his alliance with AJ Styles by putting the Phenomenal One out of action before Fastlane 2023. However, Jimmy’s tenacity may cause problems for The Bloodline. Nick Aldis could set a stipulation whereby Solo Sikoa would be automatically disqualified if his brother interfered during the match in Saudi Arabia.
I Quit Match
John Cena has been the part of several “I Quit” matches during his illustrious career and he has won all of them. The WWE Legend has forced fighters like Randy Orton, Batista, JBL and The Miz to say these derogatory words and quit the match. Cena could potentially ask Nick Aldis to change his traditional singles match against Sikoa to an I Quit match. He could recreate the ending to his epic Last Man Standing match at Royal Rumble 2007 to take down The Bloodline’s enforcer.
